About the Artist

Taliah Cortez grew up in Santa Clarita, California, and developed her passion for make-up as a result of her love of Halloween. She started as a self-taught makeup artist in special effects and then began to teach herself beauty make-up. Taliah attended the Academy of Beauty in Culver City and received her esthetician license in January of 2019 and then became a certified sugaring practitioner. She felt it was important to have a broad knowledge of skincare before going into the make-up industry. Within the same year, she enrolled in the MUD (Make-Up Designory) school in Burbank, California. She furthered her education by completing the Master Program at Make-Up Designory. Taliah expanded her knowledge in airbrush techniques, hair styling, the world of business, beauty, and special effects.
